Financial constraints allowing, my typical 12 month programme was broken down into 4 phases:-
Phase 1- May to August:- Dry land (off snow) training programme based in Leeds, UK. (with several short on snow training camps during this time)
Phase 2 – September to November – On Snow training programme, usually at a glacier in Europe. (Normally there is one World Cup competition in September)
Phase 3 – December to March – World Cup competition programme.
Phase 4 – April – Rest & Recovery (Holiday time)
