I’ve been back in the UK for a while because I’ve just got some very exciting news that I’m pregnant! It was a bit of a surprise but it’s actually pretty awesome timing as I only miss a few weeks at the end of this season and will be back on snow for next season, with an extra little cheerleader!
I’m back out in Europe for a couple of weeks now. Last week I was helping out some of the newer members of the GB Snowboard cross team on snow at our base in Zell am Ziller, Austria. I love helping out the new guys and girls and passing on some of my experience, it’s great to see them all improving and gaining in confidence.
Over the weekend I packed up all my stuff from my winter accommodation and squished it all into my car. Then yesterday I drove the 7 hours over to Chamonix, France.
I’m in Chamonix all this week with Mitsubishi for the Geneva motor show with. I met Eddy the Eagle last night, he’s a really nice guy! We talked for ages about everything from the Olympics to training techniques (I asked if he actually strapped himself to the top of a car in all his ski gear, yes he did) to his movie coming out next month, which I’m really looking forward to watching because it looks great.
Ah it’s just started snowing outside! I like sitting in a chalet typing away on my computer and then looking up to see snow falling outside the window 🙂
I’m still doing a lot of fitness training to keep in shape as much as possible so I’ll be hitting the gym quite a bit this week before I drive back home on Sunday.
