ZOE QUALIFIES FOR THE WINTER OLYMPICS IN 2010

Oct 18, 2008

Following Zoes 4th place in the Argentinian World Cup Final last month, Zoe has now met both the British and International selection criteria for the Winter Olympic Games to be held in Vancouver in 2010.

International Olympic Selection  Criteria

The international standard set by Federation Internationale de Ski (FIS) is one top 30 finish at a  World Cup or World Champs competition and 100 FIS points as of the last points list before the Olympics (Zoe has approximately 650 already so even if Zoe doesnt do anymore competitions between now and then Zoe will still have 100 points.) The top 30 finish must be obtained between July 2008 and the time of the last World Cup competition before the Olympics (Zoe finished 4th in Argentina in Sept 2008).

British Olympic Selection Criteria

The British Olympic Association (BOA) qualification standard is one top 15 finish at any World Cup competition between August 2008 and the last World Cup before the Olympics. (As above, Zoes has reached this already.
