This weekend I’m going back to Germany for another competition. It’s a European Cup in Grasgehren. I’ve competed in Grasgehren a few times before and they usually have a good course so I’m looking forward to it. I’ve seen a photo of the start section of the course this year and it looks big, plus nice and wide too making me think they may run races of 6 people at a time, or they may stick to the usual 4, we will see. There’s no World Cups running any time around now so there will probably be quite a few World Cup racers competing, making it a good challenging race.
There are some other British racers going too so it will be the first race I’ve gone to with some of the newer team members. I’m hoping to be able to pass on some advice to help them out. I’ve packed my British flag ready to attach it to our waxing bench at the top of the course to add to the patriotic team feel. Of course the flag is also there ready in case any of us gets onto the podium !
We have a day training on Friday then two competitions, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday.
I’ll update again after the race to let you know how it went!
