Germany World Cup this weekend

January 19, 2016

This weekend I’m competing at the World Cup in Feldberg, Germany. There are two races there back to back spread over Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I’m really excited to get racing again as we’ve has a few races cancelled due to lack of snow, this has made everyone, including me, that little bit extra excited for the World Cup. The snow report from Feldberg is good and we’ve heard the course is a little shorter than planned but still has good size, even epic, World Cup style features. I really can’t wait to get on it!!!!

IMG_7396We got some fresh snow at the team base in Zell am Ziller over the weekend and built ourselves a short pump track which we rode for the day, it was short but fairly challenging so good fun.

I’m driving over with my team from Zell am Ziller to Feldberg on Wednesday morning for the training day on Thursday when all competitors get a few hours to train on the course.

IMG_6489I’ve never been to Feldberg before so I’m looking forward to going somewhere new. In fact Feldberg has never ran a World Cup Snowboard Cross race before so it will be new for a lot of the field. It’s great for the sport to get a new resort hosting a World Cup too.

Keep an eye out here to find out how it goes!
